Luxury Wedding DJs in New York & Long Island
Open-format DJs who read the room — the foundation of every Genesis celebration.
A dance floor is designed, not left to chance
A great wedding DJ does far more than play songs. The right set honors a first dance, carries a room through dinner, and knows the exact moment to open the floor — then keeps it full until the last song of the night.
Genesis Events has curated luxury New York and Long Island weddings since 2008. Our DJs build every set around your story and your guests, and work hand-in-hand with our bilingual MCs and live musicians when you want more than music alone.
What defines a Genesis DJ
Every set is tailored to your day — and to your crowd.
Open-Format Range
Every era, genre and culture — from Sinatra to this season, mixed seamlessly.
Read-the-Room Instinct
Sets that adapt in real time to your guests, not a fixed playlist.
MC & Live Pairing
Pair your DJ with a bilingual MC or live saxophone, strings and percussion.
Flawless Sound
Professional-grade systems tuned to your venue, with careful backup planning.
How we build your soundtrack
It starts with a conversation: the sound you love, the songs you must hear, and the ones you never want played. From there we design the arc of the evening — ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and a dance floor that builds rather than begs.
Before the day, we coordinate with your venue and planner on logistics, timing and sound, so every transition lands without you thinking about it once.

Wedding DJs — FAQs
Can we control the playlist?
Yes — we build it together. Must-plays, do-not-plays and the overall feel come from you; our DJs handle the reading of the room and the mixing in between.
Can the DJ perform with live musicians?
Yes. DJ-live pairings — saxophone, percussion, violin or guitar layered over the set — are one of our signatures, for cocktail hours and peak dance sets alike.
Do your DJs also MC?
We pair DJs with dedicated hosts, including bilingual MCs fluent in up to six languages, so the music and the moments each get full attention.
What equipment do you bring?
Professional-grade sound and lighting scaled to your venue, set up and tested well before guests arrive, with backup planning as standard.
How far in advance should we book?
For peak-season Saturdays we recommend booking nine to twelve months ahead, as prime dates are reserved early.
How much does a wedding DJ cost?
Pricing is customized to your celebration — date, guest count, venue and any add-ons like an MC or live musicians. The best next step is a tailored quote.
